Topic Title: Coming Off

Hi, I have used Aropax for about 5 years. I am also an alcoholic and have given up using alcohol earlier this year and have found that the Aropax is now working. I am now in the process of reducing my dose from 30mg to 20mg a day, but it is very hard work. I feel tired and anxious and sometimes I have to take another 10mg to get me through the day. I really don't like the thoughts and feelings that I am having, but I have a very understanding girlfriend. We discuss all aspects of my depression which I find really helpful. Sometimes I have thought about getting a CAT Scan just to put my mind at rest as I am not sure if there is something else going on in my brain. What do others think about that?
It's good to know that there are others like me out there.

I had an MRI recently the results came back ok. Not overly impressed by the overall awareness of the specialist. Or maybe he was just reluctant to give out information. Anyhow I think it is a good idea.

I spoke to my Dr about an MRI but she said because I was not exhibiting any other nuerological signs that there was probably no need. I live in New Zealand and MRI's are really hard to get and are very expensive. She did not rule it out but told me to monitor dizzyness, pins and needles in my arms, headaches etc. I don't have those symptoms, so I guess I will battle on. Things are going ok at the moment.
