Just wondering if anyone knows whether kava kava and SAM e are available in australia? SJW is everywhere,and how much more expensive is it? Also is it a good idea to take the 2 together, e.g sjw and KAVA KAVA? I've been on SJW for a few days howver my anxiety has gone up a notch and am thinking of taking kava if I can find it along with SJW?

SAMe is available in Australia at most pharmacies and health food stores but kava kava has been voluntarily recalled by suppliers due to concerns about liver toxicity in very high doses (only occurred in users with previous history of liver disorder). SAMe should also not be used if you have bipolar disorder. In addition you have to be cautious mixing SJW with other drugs as it can increase or decrease the effectiveness of the drug. Its not so much a problem with other herbs but check it out with a herbal practitioner.
