Topic Title: Spaced Out with SJW, will this pass?

Hi,
I am a new user to St. John's Wort. I take 1200 mg of Perika (nature's way) st. john's wort. I've been taking this for 2 weeks.
I haven't noticed any effects until a couple days ago. I don't feel "happy" or anything yet, but I do notice that since the last couple days I've been spaced out and feel really dull.
Is this a sign that the St. John's Wort will start working? Will this phase pass?
The reason is because I haven't felt the anti-depressant effect yet. I just feel this spaciness and decreased ability to concentrate.
I am taking university classes, and I've found it realllllly hard to concentrate the last few days.
please help , thx

Greetings. It took several weeks for me to feel better and really several months before my body had adjusted to the daily SJW. Throughout I've experienced that foggy-head spaced out thing you describe, that I'm sure a lot of SJW users experience. After you've been using it enough you understand what it is and I'm able to ignore it. I'll have to say though, I have taken SJW for several years, always taken throughout the day, and I would have those episodes. Because of this web site, I see some are taking the full dose at night before bed. I've been doing that for a few months and that spacy feeling has all but gone. Give it a try. Also, the dosage seems high - I think the standard dose is 900.
