"Vitamin B and anxiety" , Thu 27 Mar 01:46

Hello , I'm new to this message board. I've been suffering from depression for a year (sometimes bad and sometimes not so bad) and anxiety / panic for a number of years.

Whilst things are improving through time and with the aid of a psychotherapist, every so often I seem to go back to step one. I'm on the verge of starting with SJW but I guess I don't want to start it if I don't have to, so thats what delaying me mostly. Having read about other methods of attacking depression on your message board I decided to give a couple a go. I started taking EPA supplments two weeks ago and I can say that my mind seems clearer and my mood may have lifted slightly (though its difficult to say with day to day changes of mood). I also started taking a Vitamin B complex. The first one I took was low dosage so realizing that it did not seem to contain the amounts that everyone was talking about I moved to a Time released b50 complex. That was last night. I had one with a meal at about 6pm

I did not sleep a wink and experienced the worst anxiety in a year. I seem to be better this morning. But my question is this . Has it had this effect on anyone else. Have I got a bad brand (UK holland and barret). I think I'll have half a tablet tonight.

vitamin b increases your energy, thus not making it a good sleepy time tincture... don't know how to put that into words technically, but it was explained to me that I should never take vitamin b in the evening. hope it helps.
