Would you say that sjw is good for minor to moderate depression and 5htp is good for more serious depression? I am moderately depressed and just started taking sjw today. Should I take 5htp and stop sjw, take both or just take sjw? I am going to see how well the sjw works, I just want to get my social life going again, maybe then I will be generally happier.

I think that SJW and 5-htp basically achieve the same things but in different ways....I would recommend you to stick with SJW on its own for 4 weeks to gauge whether it has a definate effect or not (or if you are one of the rare people who suffers from extended side-effects).

Then make an informed decision - stay with it or try something else such as 5-htp.

A good social life definately does help things because it gives you less time to think about things if you know what I mean!!...just stay off the alcohol!
