I've been taken SJW for about 2 weeks and I feel more positive, but it's a very gradual change. The first night I took it, I was very wired and could not get to sleep until about 4am. Then I tossed and turned a few hours till I gave up on sleeping. So I take all 6 pills first thing in the morning, because I am not good at remembering to take 3 doses a day. I really hope this helps. I've never taken any prescription antidepressants and from what I read, I don't want to.

I'm with you JLady, I suffered with depression for many years because I thought it couldn't be any worse than the side effects from anti-depressant meds I had read about. Taking a pill to make you feel better, but losing your sex drive didn't seem like a positive outcome to me! Fortunately, the SJW has helped me a lot and the only side effect I can attribute to it is minor constipation. That, I can deal with for the improvement in my attitude/mood, energy and focus. Good luck with your regimen. Stay positive.
