"8 days and break through bleeding" , Sun 27 Feb 15:04

I have been taking SJW for 10 days, three times a day after meals. I noticed a difference around the 5th day. On the 9th day, I had break through bleeding. I came to do some research to see if this is a side-effect. I am convinced that it is!

I am glad I came on to the sight to learn more about SJW - which I probably should have done before I started taking it. I was considering getting off the pill anyway so this will be one more good reason to do so.

Thanks for the informative site.

I'm 27 and tried St. Johns Wart years ago and It made me miss my period so I stopped. But I wouldn't go around saying it stops your pill from working. There's no concrete evidence on that. So although you can say be cautious .. shouldn't treat it as a fact.

Hello, thought I'd post an update. I have been on SJW again for 5 weeks and yesturday and today I'm experience the break thru bleeding. I'm on the pill as well and read that this is a common side effect in women taking oral contriceptives between the ages 23-34(or around those ages). It definitely doesn't mean your pregnant. I have no way of becoming pregnant :P so it's just a side effect. Although I may it may be wise to use other methods of protection.
