"Early experiences of SJW" , Mon 31 Jan 02:57

I have only been using SJW for a week or so and found it has definitely made a difference to me. I don't exactly know what I was expecting - I have never tried any form of antidepressant before. At the moment it seems as if I have a psychological "platform" under me - in other words I still feel irritable, anxiety, fear, but that's ALL those feelings are - they don't make me drop into a pit of dread. If I was to plot my moods on a graph they'd still go up and down, but they wouldn't ever drop to zero. I feel happier, more confident, and calmer - I don't feel "elated" the whole time or anything, but I am more likely to come out of my shell. Some of this may be placebo effect, but really who cares? Things seem more manageable, and I feel I have my life back after only 20 years or so of low mood. Even if the effect doesn't last I'll know that it's possible to get rid of the nagging voice (you probably know the one!) so will remain optimistic.

This is an old-ish post, but I fell exactly the same way. Been taking it for 2 weeks and I cannot believe the difference. I feel I'm able to take things in stride more... just a general sense of feeling well-adjusted, without my usual gray filter.
