"PLEASE RESPOND! TAKING MINDSOOTHE & BECALM" , Tue 30 Nov 16:45

Hi, Im 32 a mom of 3 boys new here to your site and have suffered from Panic and Anxiety since I was 16. I feel as a adult it has gotten worse. I have done Paxil(which once on it I was great but getting on the stuff and Off was a nightmare) Effexor, buspar & tried Prozac. Nothing had given me relief as I said except paxil but I just couldnt bring myself to start it up again for fear of all the Bad start up effects. In desperation I found Becalm and Mindsoothe which I have been taking for about 1 week now. Has anyone used this product. Im praying its my answer. I feel somewhat better but have experienced some setbacks. My panic and anxiety ha gotten so bad I have a hard time leaving the house to do things for FEAR i will become ill, faint or go into a full blown attack. I want all this to go away already. I am desperate to talk to others who are in my shoes and for some encouragement. I go see a Psy. on the 18th they couldnt get me in any earlier in the meantime I need some friends who understand what I am going through. Its soooo wscary to feel like this. If anyone waches desparate housewives I am Lynette the mom of 3 who just cant take the stress anymore.

Hi Mike,
I did use it for about 2 weeks but the effect was not as good as I had hoped initially I felt like it was working but I needed to go on reg. meds again. I am on Lexapro 20mg and have been since DEC. (started on 10 mg) and I have a therepist that comes to my home. I am SOOO much better than back in Nov when I originally wrote this post. that was some very rough months for me. I really thought I would never feel better. But now I am out and about and feeling ALIVE!!! It is a full 360.. I hope the best for you I really tried to go the natural way but it just wasnt stong enough for my panic and anxiety issues. Good luck to you email if you need someone to chat with I REALLY UNDERSTAND!!

Hi
I've also suffered on and off for about 14 years with panic disorder.Mine has just recently started up again after a break of over a year. I've also been avoiding going out of the house if I can help it but I have to take my son to school and I've been in a state about it well before I have to set off.
I've read every book on the subject I think, and I've tried reflexology, acupuncture, healing, shiatsu, hypnotherapy and homeopathic remedies but the panic always returns eventually.I understand all the reasons etc what causes the panic but sometimes it doesn't make any difference when I've got to go out.I even panic in the house!!
I've just bought a hypnotherapy tape and have been listening to that twice a day and I must admit I do feel slightly calmer already. It'd be lovely if there was a magic wand and I'd never have another panic attack ever but I'm not that optimistic at times I'm afraid.
I hope your new remedy works for you and I wish you all the luck in the world.I know exactly how you feel as you expressed the exact same emotions that I feel.If you'd like to start e-mailing me as a penpal you're more than welcome and hopefully we can encourage each other along.
My address is adelemouse@btinternet.com
Hope to hear from you soon
Adele

Hi Lynette. I suffer anxiety/panic also, and I know it's not much fun at all. But stick in there, once you can cut it down to size and not be as threatened by it, it diminishes the power it has over you. I know this is not easy at all, but if you try and see it as your body playing tricks rather than something physically bad that's going to happen to you, it's slightly easier to deal with panic...I keep saying when it comes on, well I've been through this before and it went away, it can't be any worse this time... etc. Of course sometimes easier said than done, but it's worth a go.

Distraction is another helpful thing- keep yourself busy with things (not overworked, but just occupied). If you've got too much time to yourself (Not likely if you're a mum I guess) then your mind can return to your troubles all too easily.
Exercise is important too, with relaxing your nerves when they're wound up like a coiled spring (as mine are right now!) and giving motivation to carry on when things are tough. Also I found herbs like Passionflower, Chamomile and Valerian useful for calming, maybe you could try them too. I'm not sure what Becalm and Mindsoothe are, but hope they do something for you.

Anyway, all the best, hope this helps.

You're not alone, and you will get through it :)
