hi All,
I was just reading on another forum and one of their ideas was Enjoyment Goals which I thought was a great idea. Basically it was saying that when you are depressed you do not do the things that you get enjoyment from or used to get enjoyment from as depression does leave you lacking that certain motivation and oomph. Basically their idea was you pick 3 things and write them down and make them your goal for each day even if its a struggle.
One person did a walk along the seafront which is good because you have made yourself get up and out and are getting enjoyment from it, another was listening to a cd. It can be anything you choose to get enjoyment from and when I personally think about it I dont incoperate any enjoyment in to my daily routine apart from mundane things like chores. The enjoyment goals dont need to be exceptionally different things just things that you personally enjoy doing. When I think about it it is so easy to just think right lets rely on this sjw but we do need to concentrate on other ASPECTS. I think we all know we must say be more social/socialise get more of what we enjoy. So I thought enjoyment goals was a good idea and something I will think about and hopefully do. I found this idea on www.uncommonknowledge.co.uk it has a good forum(kelly is good for us as we are all on sjw), uncommon knowledge does raise some good issues about different things ie sleep cycle and depression and rem sleep . It makes a great read, and covers loads of different topics which I think you will all find interesting as I was hooked once I started reading the depression learning path, you can download things free.

That does sound like a good idea...it's all too easy when you're being hard on yourself not to enjoy anything, or to feel guilty when you do.
