Topic Title: How is the gotu going?
| | "How is the gotu going?" , Mon 31 May 14:38
I've taken a break from gotu and have just started back on it. It's effects are starting to return again I'm pleased to say. How is it going for the rest of you? CiCi have you started on it again?
Hope to hear from you all soon.

Hi there Chief!
Good to hear from you again! What was the reason for you taking a break - did the gotu eventually stop working? And how did you feel when you were off it, did you notice a difference?
It's hard for me to say because I've been doing a few experiments with brain/body chemistry recently, not all of them successful (you may have read them), and I had a few setbacks. I did swap the times I take my herbs (SJW at night and gotu during the day), and although I sleep much better, the combination is not quite so good for my mood. Maybe I could improve things if I raised my dose of SJW, but I don't want to that as I've come to realise that SJW causes a MAJOR hormone imbalance for me. So I try and keep my dose to an absolute minimum (I can manage on one 300mcg-hypericin tablet a day, ie. one Kira "3-a-day").
I'm actualy taking a break from gotu at the moment. So far I've not had the will-power to stay off it for a whole two weeks! I did feel it was starting to lose it's effectiveness, probably because I've never given it a long enough break. Will let you know what happens when I start again!

Cici, I'm not sure if the effects did ware off, but I noted that I wasn't as lively as I was when I was first on gotu. I figured that maybe as had been advised the effects were waring off slowing over time, so I thought I'd give it a wee break. So after 2 weeks I'm back on it now for 4 days to see if I get results similar to when I first went on it.
In the meantime, I've learnt alot about myself. When I was off it I did notice some negative effects but nothing too bad. I think going on a break can be a good thing to compare how you are while you are on it to when you are when you are off it, and maybe train yourself while you are off it to behave and be the same way as you are while you are on it.
I haven't noticed much of a difference being back on it again this time, but I'm jet lagged and only been back on for 3 days.
I'll keep you posted.
God bless. Chief
