I'm not a pothead or anything, but I heard that if you crushed up your SJW or used the actual plant you can smoke it and feel marijuana-like effects. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried this, because im trying to quit smoking weed and would like an alternative.

No, I've never heard this before. SJW is a weed, yes, but it has no high effects like marijuana and in seven years and millions of visitors I've never heard of anyone smoking it.
There are withdrawl symptoms when you stop smoking pot, including depression, but drink lots of water and about three weeks from now you'll be back to normal. If you do a search on Google, you'll find a good scientific study that was published relatively recently on marijuana withdrawl, and reading it may help you get through the next few weeks without another toke. thank you for the support. I had no idea that I would experience withdrawal simptoms from pot, I've just never heard of it before. I did experience depression right when I stopped, i actually didnt smoke for almost a month straight! But, yesterday I gave in a smoked a blunt with my friends. I actually don't like the affect I get from it anymore, I can't think of ANYTHING to say, thats how bad it affects my memory. TTYL

I smoke dried SJW and Chamomile with Tobacco. Have even tried smoking it in a mixture of Kava Kava and Valerian root.
Sorry, no hemp-like euphoria, but it is much cheaper than tobacco in Michigan (they just raised the tax on cigs by $0.75 per pack).
From what I can extract from the experts, all dried green plant matter produces Tar and CO (Carbon Monoxide) when ignited and is therefore harmful to the lungs, brain, and other internal organs. Herbs like SJW and Chamomile burn slower, so the hybrid tobacco cig lasts longer than a commercial production cigarette.
I dry my SJW flower tops in my microwave until it is crumbly. I then use a pestle to crush the stuff for insertion into a ZigZag roller to make a hybrid SJW & tobacco cigarette (with filtered tubes, of course). The same can be done with any type of herbs.
Anyway, any type of smoking is bad for the lungs and body.
Sex is the only "natural" high available (and only if done safely...). Unfortunately, old guys like me can't even enjoy sex anymore, so I'll just continue to get my kicks by depriving the State of Michigan of higher tax revenue by smoking legal backyard herbs and abstaining from alcohol.
(At least I can still drive my little '79 Mercedes 450SL Roadster, which is more fun and addictive than any narcotic.)
