I have been taking sam-e for 4 days now..and it seems to have been making my insomnia worse. I take 200 mg in the morning and then get REAL hyper at night and have probs staying asleep. I was wondering if anyone here has had insomnia problems for a long time and has had them cured with the SJW????????? I would GREATLY appreciate it...............anyone????

Hi Sam:
I was having some real bad insomnia about a month ago & I'm sleeping like a baby now, better than before the insomnia. I take 5 HTP, 1 in the morning & 1 at night. I also bought some GABA Plus w/inositol & niacinamide & one of these is doing the trick, not sure which one or both. I also take 2 valerian root before going to bed & that helps also.
I know how awful it is without the proper sleep & I hope this helps. :)

My long time insomnia was greatly helped by about 150 mgs of SJW/ twice a day. Nothing else helped. I would definitely give it a try. You might be surprised. Good luck!

I've been having insomnia for the past month & just recently purchased a St John's Wort blend that I take twice daily. I think it's a bit early to tell whether it's working or not, but something sure better work soon before I totally loose it.
I've been taking melatonin, skullcap, valerian root, kava kava, xanax & propranolol & I still can't sleep at night. So now I'm giving this SJW blend a try & see how it works. I'll keep you updated.

thanks..have you tried alot of exercising and sweating...heard thats suppossed to help.

Actually I normally go to Curves 3-4 times a week & I want to start my 2 mile walking program again, but with this insomnia I feel like a ZOMBIE all day long.

Try taking -
1,500mg inositol
750mg GABA
100mg magnesium chelated
500mg vit C
..And any other herbs you want to add like valerian etc. This is working wonders for me, and I have been a chronic insomniac for the past 2 years, and even further back insomnia. I think the inositol is making the most difference.

Thanks Loops. I'll give the inositol a shot, considering that I'm at this point not even functioning or thinking straight anymore.
