Just curious - if you've used gotu kola, do you mind answering these questions?
1) What brand?
2) Liquid or pill?
3) How effective was it (esp. for social anxiety)?

I have been using the good 'n' natural brand 250mg, taking one a day. At first they gave me loads of energy, my focus was good all day. By the end of the 2nd week the effects were wearing off, I found myself being very tired by mid afternoon and lacking focus. I found similar things with rhodiola.
There is no doubt though that this is a very effective herb if probably taken in one week cycles followed by a break. I may even try taking it every other day and rotate it with rhodiola or sam-e to see what happens.

1) What brand? Vitamin Shoppe.
2) Liquid or pill? Pill. I first tried just the herb, now I'm trying the extract form. One capsule contains 221 mg extract, standardized to 10% triterpenes, and 220 mg herb.
3) How effective was it (esp. for social anxiety)? I don't really feel any effects, except that I am noticing it suppressing my appetite. Today I took one capsule in the morning, and another one this evening. I'm feeling my usual anxious self, but just less hungry. I'm on my second day into the extract after trying the plain herb for about four days with no results.
