Topic Title: gotu kola - I agree
| | "gotu kola - I agree" , Wed 7 Apr 21:25
I tried gotu kola about 4 days ago after reading reviews on this site. Keeping in mind that I've tried sjw, sam-e, rhodiola, kava kava, theanine, inositol, and prescription meds, I've got to say that gotu kola is really doing wonders for social phobia and apathy.
Proposed method of action: interacts with CCK receptors and may help modulate the anxiety and reward system.
How is this herb not more popular?

Michael, I am glad that Gotu Kola is working for you. I too have tried all of the remedies you mentioned for depression but mostly for Social Phobia. I was wondering if you could tell me what brand you are using, since it appears to be helpful. Best of luck. Jessie

It's certainly amazing this hasn't been noticed before. It probably has, somewhere in the depths of ayurvedic knowledge, but not to "Western Science"... I would also like to know more about how it works and what it's actually doing. I think no-one knows - the research hasn't been done. I tried doing a search in google and didn't come up with much.
Er, what's a CCK receptor? And the anxiety and reward system? Sounds interesting!
Cheers, Cici
