"first time using" , Wed 7 Apr 12:04

I just began using SJW...

I believe i've been diagnosed with major depression (i am still going to psych therapy). life seems so dark and that "love" feeling i had w/ my gf seems to be gone... I am unsure of where my future is going or what i even want in life. in hopes that it's just a chemical thing, i began taking SJW since many people, including my phsych, recommended it.

i began taking a brand from Eccentric Institute ( i believe ) and they were powder capsules that were "fresh-freezed" vegie caps. i took one in the morning, one in the midday, and one at night... after a week, i really didnt notice anything. depressed mood was always present, with no drive to visit friends or do anything... so i switched to Perika. i continue to take one in the morning, one middday, and one at night... it's been 2 days...

I also take b-complex, royal jelly, gingko biloba, and a multi-vitamin.

maybe i need to change my dosage? or take them all at once? I havnt experienced any side-effects, that i'm aware of. i do feel drowsy sometimes, but i credit that to my long hour drive to work in the morning.

Give the Perika ample time to work for you. It took me seven full weeks (at 300 mg 3 x day) to experience the benefits of Perika. I almost dropped it after a month and would have missed out the tremendous benefits of St. John's Wort.

Hi :-) ,

'it's just a chemical thing '

It's most probably a issue to do with Balance.Sure in a case of clinical depression that balance will be a chemical one,yet it may be possible to bring on clinical depression by emotional > psychological disturbances .

You'll know best what you should do to try and achieve a healthy balance in your life be it love, work, activities, sex, humor etc etc.

Anti depressants can and do work wonders yet they should not be seen as a total cure for depression.Have faith that SJW will do you some good and that you will find that loving feeling once again. After all it can't be lost because it's emotional part of you so maybe you just need some thing or someone to bring it to the surface again :-) .

Peace
