Just a short note to relate my experience with St. John's and light sensivity, which is labeled as the only side effect. I've been on St. John's (900mg/day) for six months. Just spent a week in Florida. I've always been an easy tanner but noticed this time that I would burn fast and blotchy and had to increase the suncreen strength to 15-30 SPF minimum. Strangly, though, the sunburn would never convert into a tan. It would just subside overnight. While St. John's seems to make the skin more susceptible to burning, it also appears to fortify the skin and make it "tan-proof."
