I'm on my second day and already feeling a mood lift. I'm also using the Natrol brand. I'm not sure how much hyperforin it has but it has the usual .3% of hypericin. I'm also using fish oil.

That can really depend. I'm on my 4th day, and already feeling a lift in mood... but I also started aerobic exercise a couple weeks ago (for the first time in years), and that may be helping too. I definitely feel an effect from it though, I just feel "lighter" overall and find myself whistling when going about everyday tasks. Your mileage may vary...
As for the amount, that sounds about right... lots of reports are now saying that it's the hyperforin that counts tho, not the hypericin. Best you can do is either get one of the recognized most effective brands like Perika or Amoryn, or at least something from a reputable company like Natrol or Nature's Way (I'm using Natrol SJW at the moment). Otherwise it's something of a crapshoot how well it's going to work. I think you should notice a "feeling" of some sort from it (even something mild) sometime in the first week, although not necessarily an rapid mood improvement.

You may need to take St. John's consistently for 6-8 weeks before experiencing any benefits. In my case, it took seven weeks to "kick-in" (Perika 300mg x 3 times a day).
