I have been wanting to report on my experience with St. John's Wort. I am in no way trying to tell people not to try St. John's Wort, as I am sure that it helps many people. I wish that it had helped me and I feel that it was definately worth trying. However, I did not have a good experience with St. John's Wort. I began taking St. John's Wort to help with anxiety and depression that I was experiencing the two weeks prior to my period. I was deternined to give SJW 6 weeks to see how it worked. I also purchased the KIRA brand and took three pills each day. I experienced severe insomnia and anxiety. I also had cramping and spotting the full two weeks before my period which I never experience. By the end of the 6 weeks I was a horrible wreck from not getting sleep and feeling so anxious. I contacted my doctor and he suggested that I try 10 mgs of Celexa. Within a couple of days on Celexa I began feeling better. By two weeks I felt great and at the 6 week mark I feel like a new person with absolutely no PMS. I also have experienced no side effects on Celexa. Celexa was by far easier to go on than SJW was for me. I wanted to share this to help people realize that different things work for different people. If SJW works for you then great, but if it doesn't, don't get discouraged because there are many alternatives.

Hi I have very bad PMT and my life at that time is hell.I do not want to take anti depressants but need something to help, you mentioned Celexa what is this
