I took sjw for the first time last night and I feel amazing this morning--alert, relaxed, happy. Is this placebo effect? Is it possible for it to work so quickly?
has anyone else found that sjw works right away? does the effect change over time?

I just started taking it a couple of days ago , needing that ' spark' that seemed to have faded lately.
I had an immediate and noticeable, although not extreme effect, taking hypericin and hyperforin. I am more alert, focused, and motivated. I swear by St. John's Wort, but I will stop taking every day after a week or so , and only use every other day, and then will use only 2 x a week. I feel I will augment production of neurotransmitters this way, without becoming 'chemically dependent' on it.

Actually, I had a whole new optimism about 1 1/2 hours after I took the first capsule. some days I still seem to get into a hole, but overall remarkable results happened immediately with no side effects at all. I have fair skin so I stay out of the sun anyway. I wish you well!!

Yes, it does start to work immediately for some, although it doesn't take on it's full effects until several weeks later. But when I took it I noticed major changes on the 2nd day and by the 3rd day I felt much better. You're lucky and it appears to be the right medicine for you.

It worked for me right away for 3-4 days, but then I got this huge fatigue, and it has been that way for 3 weeks now.

It affected me almost straight away, then there were some ups and downs for a few weeks. After taking it for five weeks I really starting feeling the full effect of it, and I've been doing well ever since. I think it's a good sign that you started feeling better so quickly, but the full effects usually take a little while.

i am glad to hear the sjw has continued to work for you! May i ask you how long you have been taking it and at what doseage? I am now trying sam-e for depression and anxiety after having great sucess with sjw but then a fade out of effect.

I've been taking SJW for 15 months (900 mg a day), and it still seems to be working. I have the occasional day or two of moderate depression here and there, but overall I feel much happier and I'm more confident with other people than I used to be.
