I have been taking SJW for about a couple of days and I am feeling extremely tired. Is this a normal side effect. How long does it last. I take 2 (300 mg) in the morning and 1 and lunch.

I've been taking SJW since last June, and lately I am getting so tired I can hardly get moving. I'm convinced it's the SJW. Is it safe to just stop taking it? I know with some of the sri inhibitors you have to taper off. This is not so with SJW is it?

Yes, this is a fairly common side effect. It can usually be dealt with by experimenting with the timing of the doses. You could try taking all three in the evening, so that you don't feel so tired during the day. That works well for me, but if it doesn't work for you, try something else. SJW stays in the body a long time, so it's totally OK to try different patterns.

I've been taking it for 3 weeks, and for the past 10 days i have been EXTREMELY tired.. barely able to function. I am sticking it out for another week or so before I give up, it's just awful. I'll try taking 3 at night instead of one each meal. Not to mention I have lost my appetite.
