Topic Title: Prozac to SJW
| | "Prozac to SJW" , Fri 29 Aug 12:25
I was on Prozac for months it helped my anxiety but I didn't like the idea of taking drugs for the rest of my life, as told by my therapist. The side effects just weren't worth the benefits, when I voiced my concerns about them, He either said they weren't on the SE list or that they would go away in awhile. Fast forward 9 months, still coping with uncomfortable side effects. From one day to the next I stopped taking Prozac and switched to SJW with no side effects. On the contrary after about 2 weeks my Prozac side effects subsided. I now realize (after further reading)that such an abrupt change is unadvisable and potentialy dangerous, especially without consulting your doctor. But SJW, this web site and it's contributors have done far more for me than Prozac and 2 different Therapists. Thanks Kelly.

I am going through the exact medication change as you. Hope you are still doing great, and I'm looking foward to feeling the same!

SueSue, Yes I'm still doing good, great would be over stating. I am improving by the day, so hopefully great is just around the corner. Recently, I started taking Ginko Bilbo to address a lack of focus and memory, after just a few days I feel even better. Mabey I was a bit over stating the lack of side effects. This also has to do with memory, anyway I do recall 2 minor dizzy spells and a few baby anxiety attacks, certainly nothing I can't handel by now. I am sure we will both thrive in the future. Oh, my optimistic outlook is returning. Take care.
