Topic Title: Trials and Errors with Rhodiola

Well, the error was that I stopped taking it for about 2 weeks to give Ashwagandha a try.(unfortunately I was inconsistant in taking the Ash. so I don't really have an opinion on it) I spiraled and crashed pretty bad all the while not really attributing the result to not taking the Rhod. I put the downward spiral to stress. In a weepy mess this a.m. I took a Rhod. and while I didn't experience the same rush I did the first time I took it I feel so much better than I did just hours ago.
I found this statement while searching yesterday.
"Through the phase controlled release of Rhodiola rosea, a known inhibitor of the breakdown of serotonin, and dopamine, significantly improves memory in rats (p<0.001) 5 compared to controls, learning (p<0.01)5 and in humans, in a double-blind crossover study compared to controls significantly improved performance (p<0.01) 6 and in double-blind randomized and placebo controlled study significantly improved physical fitness, and mental fatigue (p<0.01)7 and well-being (p<0.05) 7. I'm currently taking Solgar. My first brand was Ameriden. Just taking one in the a.m. Dosage instructions say 1-3 per day. I may try going up to 2 for a while to see how that goes. Am also taking 100 mg 5-HTP once per in the afternoon.
