These pills (rhodiola rosea) are not doing anything. I don't feel any differance. Not even a little. I was wondering if SJW would work for anxiety. I don't have deppression but social anxiety. Although I may get deppressed if I get snap out of this social phobia. please help. bb

"maybe a little longer" , Thu 29 May 17:10

I've been going back over past post and I've decided to go ahead and take Rhodiola a little longer, as it may take a while to start noticing any effects.. I'm going to up the dose by a pill. this would make it up to 510 mg a day. I was on 340 a day. I've been on rhodiola for almost 2 weeks. I had an enxiety attack today worse then normal. Has anyone heard of the brand RhodaX? I'll let you guys know if it works.. bb

Try it for four weeks and see if you begin to feel better. Try a larger dose, and if that doesnt work, try a smaller dose by breaking the tab in half.

I use Natures Plus brand which is a very good brand, standardised to about 6 active chemicals. I dont know about your brand.

Its unfortunate to see its not working for you. I would recomend a book called "Overcoming Social Anxiety" By Gillian Butler, which has changed my life more than any paxil, rhodiola etc. Doctors and scientists will of course have the "chemical" explanation for mental disorders (of which ours doesnt really even hit the scale) but at the end of the day, it is pyschological, made worse by the pain we feel when we get trapped in a cycle. I would seriously reccomend this book to you.

The Rhodiola is helping me, it doesnt stop anxiety completeley, tones it down to more "normal/acceptable" levels.

"course u can get better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" , Fri 30 May 14:48:

Yes, you can make yourself better, and overcome your problems, and youll come out a stronger, more-rounded person, whos seen more than anybody else. Everybody on here can do it.

I came from not wanting to get of the house after being victimised and persecuted (this happened-their not drama queen words!) by my so-called best mates, to living now reasonably normal, feeling pherhaps down from time to time, and anxious, but nowhere near that place.

Where Im at at the moment is a lovely place, but I have to walk past a few of these people still, and take snidy little insecure comments, which can make me a little paranoid, which is mainly my main problem im chipping away at. If People dont like me, they can go stuff, because Im happy who I am, Im proud of myself.

Im glad you followed up my recomendation of that book. The other book that Im reading at the moment is "Feeling Good" by Dr David Burns. These have been the best for me, having moderate depresion (not anymore) and anxiety and social anxiety.
Read them, study them, keep a thoughts diary how they show you too, and with good work and determination, you can wave goodbye to your negative feelings. I think youll get a surprise when you read them.

Any help I can be- id be glad to help others on their journey.

And One Day you will realise,
That youre beautiful and always have been,
and everybody else can see,
The love that youve been looking for is right there inside your door.
