A month and a half ago I began taking 3 capsules (900mg) of GNC brand standardized SJW, every day to deal with persistent anxiety and depression. Within the first week I found it to be seemingly effective in dealing with my anxiety, general sadness, and especially my resulting tendency to obsess about and overanalyze my relationship with my girlfriend. Since then, despite a few bad days, I have generally found my experience on SJW to be a positive one, though not producing the dramatic changes that I had hoped for.
Over the last few days, however, I have noticed many of my pre-SJW tendencies returning. My girlfriend has noticed that I seem more easily agitated and annoyed by her and this past weekend I again felt myself so overwhelmed by anxiety and frustration that I was on the verge of crying. Considering these developments, should I perhaps increase my dosage to 4 capsules (1200 mg) or more a day? I am 5'11", 175 pounds and excercise regularly. Could my physiology be playing a role in the SJW's efficacy? Could it not be effective for me at all? (I don't think this is true). Also, because I have been traveling alot over the last few 2 weeks I have been storing sometimes 2 or 3 day's dosage in a Ziplock bag, instead of the GNC brand bottle. Could this storage method be diminishing the efficacy of my dosage (causing the SJW to go "stale")? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks.

I started taking 3 capsules of Perika 3 months ago. I gradually increased the dosage and I am now taking 2,100 mg. a day. I personally noticed a big difference after increasing the dosage.
I have noticed that I speak up a lot more to people and say what I need to say, and should say, but I don't seem to feel it inside as anger or resentment. I attribute this difference to my dose increase.
I also use a ziplock bag for my daily dose of SJW. I refill it each day and so I don't know about reduced effectiveness over time but ziplocks seal just as well or better than a pill bottle so the only thing that might be any different is the moisture level and light exposure. Try maybe putting one of those little cilica gel bags in the ziplock.
