"Inositol" , Tue 25 Mar 20:24

Wondering if anyone has had success with inositol? A few trials have been done with this nutrient (vitamin b8), it seems to be very safe and effective, particularly for panic disorder which is a concern for me. Search yahoo: 'inositol biopsychiatry' and 'inositol trichotillamania' for more articles. I am extremely intolerant to meds and herbs, and need something that has virtually no side effects. SJW gives me horrible tremors, SAMe just didn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

"Try taking amino acid - L-Tyrosine" , Sat 29 Mar 11:24

Dear Maree:
I strongly recommend that you try taking 2 or 3 capsules of L-Tyrosine each day...Twin Lab is an excellent brand and it's not expensive (around $12 for a bottle of 100 capsules). It's been used to treat depression for decades and a psychiatrist told me, some years ago, that it was an extremely effective treatment for depression with no side effects. Research L-Tyrosine on Google.com and you'll find lots of information. Check out a book called The Way Up from Down by Patricia Slagle, M.D...She's a Canadian psychiatrist who has her patients taking Tyrosine (along with Vitamin B-Complex). For the last 6 months I've been taking 3 St. John's Wort a day and I still sometimes add a capsule of L-Tyrosine for good measure. If you're unable to take St. John's Wort, then this may the what you're looking for.
