hello!! it's been 2 weeks since i've been off of Zoloft (i was on it for 4 1/2 months) and i was wondering if i can start taking SJW now and how much to take..i feel good but i still feel a lot of anxiety. So someone please help!! =) thank you

Hi Nina:

I would give it one more week just to absolutely ensure that the Zooloft is completely out of your system before starting SJW. Try to drink lots of water during that time and if you can do lots of exercise - both seem to augment the effects of SJW (they may also help rid your body of the last remnants of Zooloft?!?).

The normal dosage for SJW is 1000mg (minimum of 900mg) of Hypericum Perforatum (the scientific name for the extract from SJW) which at a standard 0.3% concentration should provide 1000 ug (micrograms) of the active ingredient which is called Hypericin.

You don't say where you are from so I can't advise on a specific brand, in the UK Kira and Quest are proven to be good...search the forum and I'm sure you'll find some information about brands where you are in the world.
