"increase in dreams?" , Mon 17 Mar 00:29

Hey guys:

I was wondering if anyone else has had this scenario shortly after starting SJW. I take SJW with KAVA KAVA 200 mg each. I've been taking it for 4 days now and believe me it is incredible stuff. However, last night, I had an increase in dreams like no other time in my life. I usually remember having a dream once maybe twice a month. Last night I remembered having about 6 or 7. I'm just wondering if this is normal and if it will subside. I'll see how it is tonight. I just hate to dream. Usually I don't have good dreams anyway so I'd rather not. If anyone has any input on this I'd appreciate it.

Hi there:

This is a very normal thing to experience in the first couple of weeks or so while the SJW is getting into your system. After that, the vivid dreams subside generally back to their pre-SJW levels.

With me I occassionally have an 'SJW dream' when I am extremely exhausted or am overly worried or anxious about one or more particular things (I had an absolutely terrible dream 2 nights ago). It's funny, but as you say, the dreams I seem to have on SJW are generally on the negative side, but other s have said that they experience quite the opposite, and I definately have had a few great dreams whilst on SJW!!

Stick with it and you'll be through this patch in no time.

David:

Thanks for the encouraging word. I was beginning to get worried because last night the same thing happened. A lot of bad dreams. I wake up in the morning very exausted like I was just lifting weights all night. Besides this so called side effect I love sjw. If and when these dreams return to normal I'll finally get some rest.

Thanks again

As I said it's definately nothing to worry about...as you mentioned feeling like you've been lifting weights, I should say that actually it seems to be mental and emotional exhaustion which contributes to experiencing these dreams (or nightmares as they can often be).

I have found though that if I physically exhaust myself by for instance lifting weights, running etc. I sleep far better and am usually unhindered by dreams. Also, (and I'm sure you know this already) exercise makes one feel much better generally too!

Keep us posted!

Germanator, Why are you only taking 200mg of SJW? Are you getting good results from this dosage? I take 900mg daily which seems the norm for most people and the recommended dosage on the bottle(standardized .3%).

I experience just the opposite. I had terrible dreams and I never wanted to go to sleep at night. After SJW I sleeep so well that if I dream I dont remember. Once though, I missed my dosage becouse I was traveling, I had a dream that instead of walking I would levitate just above the ground. This is how I traveled down the sunny wooded country roads. Very peaceful. I havent had a dream like that since.

"reply to elizabethe about dosage" , Mon 17 Mar 08:50

Elizebabethe:

I never knew what the recomended dosage was for sjw. I take two capsules of sjw/kava kava a day. One capsule has 200 mg of sjw and kava kava resulting in 400 mg per capsule. So far it has been wonderful. I'm much more relaxed now with two capsules a day. The relaxation is probably because of the KAVA KAVA. I would take more but I don't wan't to take too much KAVA KAVA. After this bottle i'll buy the two seperately and try more SJW. The dreams are a pain in the ass. They are usually bad dreams and I wake up the next morning like I was just lifting weights. I'm exausted but from what others tell me this will subside. But anyway you say the recommended dosage is 900 mg of SJW? Does this seem to work better for you?

Hi -

I have taken kava kava in the past (and still do when I PMS out) and I have found THAT gives me vivid and horrible dreams. I still take it because it does calm me down, but I have to lower my dose of kava kava or my dreams scare the **** out of me.

Check out the info catagorie headings on the left of the screen. There is a lot of good information Kelly has provided for you. Recommended dosage section will tell you what most people take. If 200mg is working for you though, then that is what you should stick with. Every body reacts differently. I found that taking b vitamins along with the sjw really helped. I didnt start the vitamins until apx 2months after I started sjw so I was able to notice the difference it made. Glad to hear your getting good results.

Hey there,

Yeah I've had the same experience with the seratonin-uptake drugs including now St. John's Wort. I fought in three wars in the last three nights since I started taking this GAIA stronger form of St John's Wort. I'm looking to down my dosage a little bit. I took two instead of three today. See what happens. It's about time to go to sleep. Oh ya, and my dreams do come out very vivid and memorable in the morning too. Good Night!

"dreams!!!" , Mon 6 Oct 19:33

OK! Am I glad I went back to older posts. I just started taking SJW and I was wondering about the dreams. Busy, vivid dreams that I retain the memory of upon awakening. So that is the SJW! Interesting...very..and weird.
