"Experience of Rhodiola Rosea" , Sun 16 Feb 10:10

I have tried SJW many times and although it has made me feel relaxed and reduced nervousness, it has never really made me any happier, in fact making me duller!

However, for the past 3 weeks I have been taking a herb called Rhodiola Rosea which is anti-stress and anti-depressant and in research is thought to increase the levels of the neurotransmitters Dopamine, Serotonin and Ephinephrine, support the nervous system and normalise body systems. I have felt more relaxed, happier and have lots more energy, which SJW seemed to sap. I take 250 mg a day of Solgar brand. Migraines, Lethargy, Fatigue and moodiness has been eased greatly, and nightmares of traumatic experience have been reduced.
Medicines like this can help you to feel better at times of stress (Ive just started uni and the pressure is quite hard) but it is Pyschotherpy that will heal and make long term differences, no matter what the problem. I suffer with Post traumatic stress disorder anxiety and depressive symptoms, but I can see a way out now! its also important not to label yourself, becuase it doesnt help at all- we are all just suffering symptoms. I just thought I would share this experience with you for those of you that SJW didnt help, and good luck to you all.

Are you asking me how it feels?

I have loads more energy with Rhodiola, SJW made me less nervous, but instead dull to think fast and talk. Rhodiola seems to speed me up without having insomnia, in fact I drift off to sleep pleasantly!
I suppose everybody can feel a little groggy in the morning but Rhodiola helps me to get out of bed and get working. My feeling s with it are optimistic and contentendeness, and the creativity and energy to start working. It has helped me a great deal. Try SJW for 6 weeks, gradually upping the dosage, then if it doesnt help you, try Rhodiola at 250-500mg.

Hope this helps
