this could be Borderline disorder as well. the best thing to do would be do talk to your parents and a doctor, a good one. read about Borderline and see if that's what it feels like with you. good luck

Dear Christeph1: It sounds like you get do depressed at times, when you're alone and it's not a good thing for you to go on hurting yourself. Are you able to speak with your mother or father about the way you feel? Not everyone is able to do so. I used to get very emotionally upset when I was your age because my parents used to fight a lot with each other and my dad used to hit my mom and hit all us kids too, when he was in a bad mood. I wish I could give you good advice, but if you're just twelve, you really should talk to an adult that you trust... Perhaps a teacher, an aunt or uncle? Please let us know what's happening. I know that I'm not the only one on this website who is concerned about you. Please write back and tell us what's happening. Where do you live? In the USA?] Jeanette

Christoph,
I agree with Jeanette, you really need to speak to somebody you trust about this. It's normal to feel very mixed up sometimes at your age - happy one minute and sad the next, but if you are feeling the need to hurt yourself sometimes I think you may really need to get a bit of help.
If you are in the UK, you can phone Childline - the number is in the yellow pages and the phone book, you don't have to tell them your name or where you live or anything, but they have people who you can talk to. If you are in the US or somewhere else perhaps you can look in the phone directories for similar organisations...perhaps someone reading this has any suggestions?
Take care, and please write again as we'd like to know you are OK. Juju
