I suffer from SAD every winter. This winter it was really bad, and I was walking around with a lump in my throat a lot of the time, on the verge of tears. I started takin SJW about a month ago, and I must admit I feel much better, and better able to funktion. I laugh more, and have more energy for my husband and my 3 children. I haven´t had any side affects, no fatigue either. I would highly reccomend it.

I've also been taking SJW for SAD for about a month. After I chose the swallow icon for my 'face' I realised that it expresses perfectly my desire to fly south every winter. SJW has improved my mood and energy levels, but I'm still experiencing a lot of ups and downs, and some fatigue. This morning in particular was a terrible down, but I feel a lot happier now.
It's nice to hear from someone else who has had such a positive experience treating their SAD. It gives me a lot of hope.

I too USED to experience the ups and downs with other brands of SJW. This was remedied when I started taking Natures way Perika, a brand that is standardized on hyperforin content (it also contains good amounts of hypericin).
My guess is that you are taking SJW that is standardized on hypericin content rather than hyperforin. Perhaps a brand that is standardized on hyperforin will work for you too.

I had the same symptoms as you. I didn't have much luck with Sjw. I tried sam-e with wonderful results, I highly recommend sam-e. It's more expensive but well worth the extra cost.

Hi! I have SADs, and I use a light box. I get Wonderful results from it!! Couldn't live without it!! Wouldn't Want to live without it!! Bought mine from sunbox.com. I sit in front of it for 30 minutes each morning, starting in Sept. all the way to April or longer.

I believe mmf is right about some type of extra light device being helpful. If you don't get enough help from SJW a light device might be good to try. I've seen reports from many people that it helps them in the winter.
