I started using SJW prior to getting pregnant for the first time and after the birth of my child (when i had finished breastfeeding, naturally). Many women experience sudden hair loss after giving birth, which is frightening, socially debilitating and pretty much trivialised by the medical community. I have a hypo (slow) thyroid, and this was part of the problem. I researched and found that SJW has the ability in most women to STABILISE THEIR PRODUCTION OF OESTROGEN. This was, I believe, the reason I got pregnant so easily despite the thyroid problem and it stopped my post-natal hair loss within 2 weeks. I have no side effects, except that I stopped SJW suddenly and am now starting again because 11 months after the birth, I have a mild post-natal depression. But I have had bouts of depression before, so that is no surprise. I probably kept it at bay for a while with the SJW.

hi there
I would like to know more about your experience with post natal depression and sjw because I am suffering from it too! could you let me know how you're feeling now and what sytoms your experienced???
