I just wanted to say that I have started St. Johns Wort today. I am hoping that this helps me.

I roo just started SJW today. I was on Paxil for 6 weeks and the side effects were worse than the depressive symptoms. Have been off the Paxil for a week now and am hoping that this treatment coupled with my counseling will help. Has anyone experienced sleep disturbance on SJW? That was the worst part of the Paxil regimen.

Hi, I was on paxil for over six months and It did work but I had many side effects including insomnia (waking up early every day) and for the first few weeks I would get really tired in the afternoon.
I decided to stop paxil and for about six months I felt fine but after a while I became depressed again so I started SJW to see what it would do. I,ve been on it for about 18 months now and it has worked well for me without any side effects at all. The only thing is that it took around six weeks for it to start working.

Hi,Nimshi I have started SJW a few days ago too,I use to have
severe side effects from conventional medication, but sometimes
I have to endure them for a while in order to get the benefits ....... untill I can't stand them any longer...
About sleep disturbances with SJW you may find a lot of answers
in reading the pages of this site ...do you have the patience
to read them ?!
