Topic Title: Does St Johns Wort make anyone nervous?

I have been taking SJW for 2 months going on 3. It has really changed my attitude for the better and I'm not depressed anymore. When I first started taking SJW I didn't have any side affects. For the last week or two I have been feeling very nervous. I take 900mg a day. My body also gets twitches in it now, which I never had in my life. It feels like when you are going to sleep and your body jumps because your body is relaxing. This happens in the day or at anytime. My shoulders will twitch,or my legs, my toes, once even my face twitched. When I do go to bed the twitching is worse and I am unable to get to sleep until my body relaxes. It is causing me to have insomnia. It seems like it doesn't happen until early evening. I read that SJW is supposed to make you relax not nervous. Has anyone ever heard of this? Is it a rare side affect although I didn't read it was. I was just wondering if anyone ever experienced nervousness or if their nervous in their body twitch at times? God Bless, Vanna

Hi Vanna, Have you changed your brand?!, some brands really make me very nervous, so look into that and try the one that you feel more comfortable.
god bless,
Sami

Hi Vanna, I posted my reaction to SJW today and took an interest in your personal observation. I believe some of us show certain sensitivities to medications. Wether they are prescribed pharmaceutical or herbal. SJW helped my mood but hindered my asthma. It is important to be in tune with our bodies and if you reacting to a medication you should discuss this with either a Pharmacist or your medical doctor. Maybe SJW isn't for you or maybe it's an adjustment or that you are taking too high a dosage for your body. Have you tried decreasing the dose? Hope you find a solution to your problem. Loved seeing "God Bless" at the end of your message and I will return God's Blessings back to you. Take care. Sincerely, Lolly from Canada
And so it goes and so it goes.
