I am interested to hear from anyone who has used Amoryn for more than 2 months. Did it work? Any bad effects? I have used Perika for 2 years and it is great, but just wondering about Amoryn - its website claims it is better than Perika.

dear cobblestone,
I was taking amoryn a while ago and i can't really say that i have had a great experience. i was taking it for quiet some time and it was off and on, but i have developed heart palpitations and my doctor told me that he would like for me to quit taking amoryn since he doesn't know what's in it for sure.
i still did have aome anxiety while taking it, but it was ok. i just can't say that it was great, it was ok that's all i can say.
i am from germany and after taking paxil and having a bad experience with it, my friend told me to rather take the german johanniskraut from schwabe which was really great i must say. i have moved to the states now and i have tried different brands and also amoryn and none of those brands were as good as the german stuff from schwabe. i have now ordered kira for the first time and since it is a german brand i am putting some hope into it.
but if u r taking amoryn and it is working good for u, then u go ahead. everything works different with other people.
the best of luck , steph

stephanie

I tried it a while back when I was under a lot of stress and at one point I felt a slight calmness but not too long after the effects didn't last. I believe I was on it for a month or 2.

I used Amoryn for 2 months and it didn't help me. When I first started taking it, I got headaches very bad every single day and felt very tired. After about a week those went away, but I never noticed any positive changes.

Oops, sorry, I accidentally posted this under a different subject. Here it is again...

I'm surprised to hear 2 out of 2 negative replies for Amoryn, because I absolutely swear by the stuff. It really turned my outlook around, and I tried nearly everything... Of course nothing works for everyone, but I heard about it from a friend who also had lots of success. She did very well on Paxil but had to stop because she gained 30 pounds... she didn't think she'd find anything that worked as well as Paxil, but she tried Amoryn just to get her by... much to her surprise, she says she actually feels better now than she did on Paxil, which she didn't think was possible (plus she lose 17 of the 30 pounds).

I did have headaches at first, which the customer support folks told me is the most common side effect. But they said to drink extra water and, much to my surprise, that helped. That 5% hyperforin in Amoryn is very potent, which is definitely a good thing if you have anything beyond an extremely mild depression. But I think that most people are so used to herbal remedies with placeo effects or very small effects that the strength of Amoryn maybe catches them off guard and causes them to quit before they notice the benefits... I thought about stopping when that first headache came on, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Cause a couple days later the headaches went away, and a couple weeks later so did my depression.

Good luck!

I was responding to a message that you posted stating you had good luck with taking Amoryn. I'm currently looking into this product as I have a bad case of anxiety and I really don't know what else, I haven't actually been to the dr. about it. I was curious as to anymore information you would have about this produce cause I'm skeptical to take anything. Please look me up either by response or email....thanks

I can vouch for Amoryn aswell. It's been 1mth and since around day 3 my anxiety and negative outlook has completely disappeared. Im taking 2 Amoryn per day and 2 Seredyn per day. I have never tried other St John's Wort or prescription SSRI.
