Hi, I don't know if you are getting professional attention. Higher doses of pharmacy grade SJW like SSRIs may be able to let you externalise your obsessional thoughts, so that they don't become like constant irritating knives twisting in your head. I found I could anlayze them or turn them off on an SSRI. I used Cognitive behaviour Therapy (CBT) techniques as well as medication and slowly thru CBT became Med Free. I URGE YOU to seek professional help if you haven't already, OCD is a very serious condition. This doesnt mean handing over full control to your Psychiatrist/CBT practitioner, but it is important that they oversee your progress. You are young and nipping this in the bud, so it doesnt go full blown later in life is important. All meds including SJW have side effects, in fact I found when they worked thats when I got the side effects, you dont get something for nothing I guess. You maybe strong enough to do this med free or on low dose of SJW, but CBT (no side effects and life enhancing outside of depression and OCD as well) is important in your recovery. A good CBT book is Mind Over Mood by Padesky & Greenberger, there are others based on Beck's CBT which is 90% effective and over half a century old. Amazon has a inventory of them. Exercise and diet are also important to keep you defences strong. OCD is worse when stressed. Exercise and diet combat stress and help sleep! Exercise generates new neurons by the way, just like SSRIS and SJW, but without the side effects. I found Ginkgo at 120mg, Cod Liver Oil 1g, oily fish and multi vit/min supplement to be useful as well. Good Luck
