Yes you can buy Amoryn in the UK. the website is www.naturesmedicines.co.uk . They currently have an offer (it has actually always been an offer) of 3 bottles of 60 capsules for £40.00.
I have used Amoryn but it was at one of those desperate periods and I really did not give it a chance. I too used Holland and Barretts SJW and it did give some relieve but in that search for complete relief I tried a number of other brands including Amoryn. In the end I have settled with a mix of Perika - 1200mg and 5 htp - 300mg. Still not 100% but I guess around an 80% solution but even after 6 months on the current combo there is still improvement.
I think the reason I did not give Amoryn a long enough trial was that the 5htp part of Amoryn sparked off some unpleasent anxiety which if you scan through this site is a common reported side effect when starting 5 htp. At the time though I was not sure what was causing the anxiety and so decided to take sjw and 5 htp separately to try to identify what was causing the problems. The 5 htp (natures way) did initially cause quite marked anxiety but after about 10 days it settled down completely. Posters comments on Amoryn are generally favourable and I would certainly consider using it if my current combo shows signs of fading. Hope this helps!

Hiya Splash!
Thanks very much for your reply, it's been very useful! I shall give the Amoryn a miss, I think, as I certainly don't want an increase in anxiety on the contrary I want a lot less! However I shall try the Perika if I find the H&B doesn't work. It's such a shame we can't get it on the NHS, it's so expensive isn't it? But hey ho "needs must when the Devil drives"!
I'm trying out some other form of alternative medicine with the SJW, them being Bach flower remedy, a form of cognitive therapy on CD and healing (similar to Reiki) and fingers crossed they seem to be having a good effect all in all!
It also helps to know that people like yourself care enough to take time to reply and give their advice. Nice one!
So thanks once again & take good care!!

For me Amoryn definitely did not increase my anxiety! I have anxiety and depression. I thought Amoryn would mainly help with the latter, but it definitely reduced my anxiety as well. I think this is the usual effect. Take a look at this web page...

I was actually e-mailed to fill out a survey with these questions about 7 weeks after I bought the product, so it seems pretty legitimate.
Good luck, CJ
