Hi Apolgies if the answer to this is already posted soemwhere here. I'm thinking of switching from Boots 300mg SJW to Nature's Way 300mg SJW, purely for cost reasons. Seems I can get get NW much cheaper mail order from the US than I can get Boots in the UK. Has anyone made the switch between these two brands? Opinions welcomed :) Cheers

Hi troll,
A couple of things to consider.
LABELING is extremely important. Cheapest is not always better.
Yes, both contain 300mg of SJW.
But.....are they truly comparable?
Does one contain whole foods?
Regards,
Marc

Hi troll,
I've tried to locate some info on Boots to compare and can't find one.
Can you provide me with a link to Boot's SJW and then I could help you more.
Take Care,
Marc

Thanks for your input.
The Boots SJW preparation is simply rebranded Kira 300mg tabs, containing 900 micrograms hypericin.

Troll,
In my experience Kira is basically a good product, but is ludicrously expensive. (From memory it is about fifteen quid for thirty 300mg tablets).
There really is no need to be paying this sort of money to obtain good quality SJW.
In the UK, Kira market their 300mg tablet as a 'one a day'. In reality, most people take up to three x 300mg tablets a day (see Kelly's "recommended dosage" link on the left of this page). This works out at potentially £15 for ten day's supply.
In my opinion, you'd probably be better going for a product like Perika (I've used both and prefer Perika.) You can order it from iherb.com or mynutrition.com (With 'mynutrition' if you're out when the postie delivers, it gets redirected to your local Post Office for collection rather than some grotty Fed-ex depot in the middle of nowhere).
Sheephead.
