Any experience with this brand? Here's the data:

• Fresh Freeze-Dried • Fresh Picked Flower and Leaf
• Fresh Upgrade • 0.3% Hypericin • 4% Hyperforin
• Contains the active CO-FACTORS of Whole St. John's Wort Flower
& Leaf including: Flavonoids, Procyanidins and Essential Oils.
• Not an Extract. No Solvent Residues
• Certified Organic • Consistency without Chemicals

90 300mg capsules $12 at iherb.com

I've been on Perika for 3 days and feeling sludgy. I like the idea of the whole plant but wonder about consistency and the shelf life issue Perika stresses.

Thanks for this website. I'm a brand new poster. Suffered dreadfully from escalating bipolar mixed states depression (I'm talkin' psychotic bleak despair) for over 30 years which improved once I stopped all prescription meds. Now I'm just dealing with occasional life sucks depression and want to attune myself to joy rather than bleakness. Y'know what I mean?

My friend is a naturopathic doctor and recommends this brand because it is whole plant and not just an extract. She says the plant's components work synergistically to improve mood and do not depend on just one component, like hyperforin. Personally, I am a little torn between wanting to use the whole plant and wanting something highly standardized, like Perika. I guess it just depends what your philosophy is...
