Topic Title: Any Perika updates?
| | "Any Perika updates?" , Thu 26 Feb 00:58:
Hi All,
I went reading through some back threads and messages from people saying they were about to try Perika, but who never posted anything since then. I was wondering if anyone has started on Perika since the last time you posted about it (or just recently started) and what your experiences are?
I ordered some recently (only 20 day supply) even though I have plenty left of a bottle of Natrol, just to give it a try. Took a couple today, and I seem to be really getting the 'spaced out' feeling that others have reported from Perika... stuff like asking people the same things twice, and just a general feeling like my head is seriously fuzzy. I wonder if it's a specific hyperforin-related side effect.

Hi. I also started on Perika 10 months ago and had posted a while ago but had not been on this site for a while. It has worked wonders for me. I used to have anxiety and suffered from mild to moderate depression. Perika has saved my life! And the cost for me is only around $23.00 per month. The rec. dosage is 900mg per day (which is a total of 3 pills), but I take 1800mg because I feel that that is what I need. I experimented with various dosages and for me I take 2 tablets per meal. I highly recommend Perika.

I've been on Perika for a couple of months now and it seems to be working for me. When I first started, I was taking some in the morning and felt really sluggish later in the day, so I switched to taking it all (900mg) at night. That seemed to do the trick. I tried cutting back to 600mg a month ago and that didn't seem to work too well, so I'm back to 900mg.
I think part of the problem is that people come to the site looking for help, and when it works, they are too busy living their lives to come back and post.
Of course if it didn't work, we're all a bunch of crackpots and why come back to tell us that?

I'm one of those people who wrote about Perika and haven't posted in a while. I'm going on 6 months on it. I now take just two a day at once. I still feel very spaced out. But... I'm okay with that and just deal with it. Overall I think it has been a great thing. But I'm sort of scared to stop. It has been become a part of my routine. I deffinatley have not felt the depression as I knew it since I have started taking it. Perika was a crutch for me to try to get my life together which it slowly has. Anxiety is still an issue but not enough to stop me from doing the things I like. I can't speak for all on not posting for a while but I have one reason for myself. Once I started to feel better and started coming back to the site I would feel my old feelings come back as I read the stories of others feeling that way. It then would make dwell on the negative thoughts more. So I realized I personally needed to stop discussing and reading about the issue as much as I was and focus my time on different things. So I really try to check in once and a while and stay away from reading too much here or on similar sites. That's just me. But over everything St. Johns wart and this site has given me a positive alternitive to the route of SSRI's. I wish you luck in your expierience with Perika.

I've been taking Perika (300 mg x 3 times/day) for nearly six months with nothing but good results. I feel better, I'm more productive, and have a much improved outlook after struggling with depression for the last two years. I also take fish oil, vitamin supplements, and exercise regularly, which has also helped tremendously. Perika works for me. Hopefully you and others will experience the same benefits.

Hi. It is May 2 and I have been on Perika almost one year. It has been very effective. I have felt "down" a few times this past year but it did not last very long and I bounce back much faster than I used to before starting SJW. I have way more motivation. For instance, I just started working on my yard to make it looks nice after living here for years. i never had motivation to care enough about my yard due to depression. Now I am going nuts on this yard and have been working all weekend, thanks to Perika. I can focus on something and not have to take naps all the time.
