Topic Title: Capsules or Tablets

I started using sjw back in december last year. I live in Malaysia and to find sjw is not always the easiest thing however I have always been able to find small qauntities to last for a period of 2-3 weeks. The first type I was taking was in capsule form with the contents in powder form. This proved to be okay but not cheap. Yesterday I found a GNC store that had the tablet form 'standardised'and only costs 33% of the capsules and come in bottles that last for 40 days. The concentration is the same and the size is the same. Is there anybody with opinions or knowledge of differences in the 2 variations?

The form shouldn't be important (except you don't really want whole herb products, but standardized extracts). According to the latest research the hyperforin content is what's important, but most brands are still standardizing on hypericin (so it's a crapshoot unless you buy something that's been reviewed somewhere or is otherwise well known).
Here's a review you might find of interest:

Thanks for that. I don't know if taking the GNC product has anything to do with the way I have felt today, or it is just the planets that are not in my favour, but the calming effect seems less. I really have not lost my temper for such a long time but maybe it is just really a bad day.

I've had days where the effects of SJW seem to be less, and I feel moodier and more depressed... sometimes what I'll do is take more SJW on those days. You can take double the recommended dosage (1800mg) without any problems except maybe an increase in whatever side effects you might be getting (fatigue or whatever). And of course, the increased cost ($$) of taking more than the recommended dosage.
