I'm in BC Canada. I've been using Kira brand for several years. Last summer I found that the store I usually buy it had it marked down to half price so I bought a 6 month supply. When I went there to buy more after I'd used most of that, they no longer carried it. I can't find it in the pharmacies, either. One internationally owned store has some on the shelves, so I bought a month's supply.
I didn't think to look at the expiry date until I had finished using all the tablets: August 2003 :( It seems to be working okay. I'm very worried though, that was the date that the previous batch I'd bought, expired, as well. I'm wondering if this will be the last Kira available here?
Is anyone else in Canada using Kira? Where do you buy it? Do they have anything with an expiry date more recent than August 2003?

Here in Alberta the Safeway chain of supermarkets carry it, but it's quite expensive at $20 per package. I've found it at a few independent drug stores as well, but it's become increasingly rare.
I posted a message about a week ago (in the general discussion forum) on another brand I found to be effective and much cheaper than Kira. Not sure if you'll be able to find it in B.C. but it's worth checking out anyway. Good luck.

Thank you very much for the information. We don't have a Safeway or related store here. I checked Wal*Mart again this week and they had KIRA which expires Mar 05, so I'm hoping this is a good sign that they will continue to carry it. It's about $15.
I'll try to find the thread in which you mention another brand.
