After leaving Amoryn I decided to give Perika a try mainly because of the price difference and all the good reviews about it. Well so far it's been 4 weeks that I've been on it and I feel no better. I really thought it would work for me. I even took 4 tablets a day instead of 3 hoping that would make a difference but it hasn't. It seems that Natures Way products don't do the trick for me as I tried the regular Natures Way SJW before and it didn't help either. I might try the NSI brand as vitacost.com has this brand highlighted as being the best of all the other brands they sell. I just wish that Amoryn wasn't so expensive.

I just checked out the contents of each Amoryn capsule on the Amoryn website, and noticed that their supplement includes 5-htp, B6, B12, and folate, as well as St. John's wort. Perhaps you could take 5-htp and some B vitamins, along with your dose of St. John's wort. I have read about recommendations of taking such combinations, and have seen postings here from people who have experienced success in taking these other supplements along with their St. John's wort. It appears that the different supplements may work better when taken together (the supplements have a "synergistic" effect when taken in combination). Of course, this is going to be a more expensive regimen, but maybe it won't be as costly as the Amoryn.
