Topic Title: Sam-E and/or St.John's, Perika vs Kira,
| | "Sam-E and/or St.John's, Perika vs Kira," , Mon 15 Sep 16:52
Hello to all,
I basically have two questions -
1. Which is better Perika or Kira - or which has a better recorded success rate? Please review this question carefully - I noticed that Perika is quite a favorite amongst the forum yet I also saw a few unsatisfied users.
2. Can sam-e be used in conjunction with st.john's
Thanks in advance for the reply - Bond

In theory Perika may have a slight edge. I think both products are standardised to 4% hyperforin (now thought to be the most important active ingredient). I asked Lichtwer Pharma, who make Kira, and they confirmed that Kira is 4% hyperforin, though they don't seem to advertise this on their packaging. Where Perika may have the edge is in the 'hyperforin stabiliser' added to it. This prevents the hyperforin from degrading on the shelf (it can degrade quickly otherwise). Assuming that hyperforin really is the most important ingredient, the higher levels of it in Perika may make it more effective.
On the other hand, I've used Kira for the last nine months, and I've been very happy with it. Different people seem to react differently to different brands. Some people don't like Perika, and I've seen plenty of posts here from people who don't like Kira as well.

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your informative reply, I have oredered the Perika after acknowledging the importance of the Hyperforin stabilizer.
Thanks again - Bond
