Hi All,
Has anyone used HBC Protocols SJW. I was browsing their web site http://www.hbcprotocols.com / and saw that their standards for SJW is pretty high. Entertec coated with an added amount of hypericum (so they state). I have been taking Perika and it seems pretty good but the cost for 60 tabs (at the only place I can find it - local healthfood store) is $15.00 for 60 tabs and HBC is $28.00 for 280 tabs. If their product is as good as they state, this seems to be a pretty good price. Anyone ever buy from them and if so, what do you think of their products (I was looking at the 5-HTP and Kava Calm also).. Thanks, Chris

I do. Its great. The best! (Its been used in lots of NIH studies) And, from what i've been able to determine, the best value too. However, it isn't enterically coated as you say. SAME is enterically coated because stomach acids break it down. No such problem exists with SJW. These pills are clear coated to preserve the actives (hypericin and hyperforin) from oxygen exposure. By the way they also contain a little grape seed/pine bark extract. I called up to ask why and they said that they use this broad spectrum antioxidant to preserve the hyperforin which is very delicate and given to disintegration.
I use their 5htp too. (To sleep) and it seems to work just fine. I don't use KAVA. Be careful with it. I understand it is in the pepper family and regular use can be a little toxic to the liver.
