I am new here. I am really interested in this. As the fall approaches my depression worsens (SAD) My meds work great, but I am looking to ask my doctor about taking SJW through the fall and winter to supplement. (He can't increase my meds.)I see him September 8th and would like to present him my research. Oh yeah, I use a light box too.
Soooo, I looked at two sites today. One was www.amoryn.com and the other was www.hypercium.com . Both said that the SJW you take has to have .3% hypericin and 4% hyperforin.
Has anyone taken either of these products? What say you regarding the hypericin and hyperforin?
Kelly, this is an awesome site. Thank you so much for putting it together. I really liked your input about taking ginseng, b-6 and b-12.
Also, I am looking for recommendations for the whole kava-kava and the gotu kola.

I think you must have meant http://www.hypericum.com / ; just in case anyone didn't pick up on the misspelling and got the dead link.

I have tried Amoryn and, despite my initial skepticism, it really works. I had tried a few other SJW products before, and they seemed to work but the effect was pretty minor. It might have just been in my head. But with Amoryn it is a very real, very potent effect. It came on gradually so I didn't even notice it at first, but after five weeks of taking Amoryn I can honestly say that I am happier and more relaxed then I can ever remember being. Anyway, maybe I'm a fluke and it won't work for you, but my recommendation is to go with the Amoryn.

Hey I just ordered the Amoryn SJW a few days ago. Hopefully this will be much better than the other 2 brands I tried in the past that didn't help too long and they didn't say anything about the hyperforin content.

I am thinking of switching to one of these brands. The one I am taking now says nothing about Hyperforin content either.

Karla- I was also looking into amoryn for a while though never bought it...how's the amoryn working for you so far?
