Hi all!

I got a bottle of "Concentrated" St. John's Wort from GNC... I'm still trying to figure out exactly what the strength of the capsules are...

This is exactly what it says:
"St. John's Wort aerial parts - 1000mg"
"(Hypericum perforatum. 250 mg of a 1:4 extract)

Gah! I've read through all the posts, and haven't been able to find a translation of my bottle.

Can anyone help here? Thanks! :-)

Interesting -- "Concentrated" is meant to mean a raw herb product at GNC. If your bottle mentions "extract", then it's different to what's on their website.

If the label is accurate, then your product contains 250mg of extract. You would assume this is standardised to 0.3% hypericin, but you never know unless it states that on the bottle. The standard dose would accordingly be around 4 tablets a day. No doubt GNC suggest something lower than that :)
