Hi all, Good informative site. I'm in the U.K and am a little confused about how much sjw to take. I recently came off Cipramil after 10 years and managed okay but things still ain't right so I bought some sjw a week ago. It's 334mg of sjw and also contains 1mg Hypericin and 10mg Hyperforin. Problem is I don't know how many tablets to take daily. The bottle recommends one but after reading this site I keep seeing that about 3 tablets is better. I'm noticing no effect from just one ( but it has only been a week) Going by the strength of the ingredients, could some kind person give me an idea how much I should be taking. Thank you.

Three a day probably would be better. That's what most people are taking. Actually a range of doses from one a day up to three or more a day have been proved to be effective in research. The more recent research usually uses 300 mg three times a day so this has become the "standard" dose. You may eventually find you need less than that, but for now you should increase your dose to three a day, to give yourself the best chance of responding quickly to it.
Dosage recommendations in the UK are a bit strange. A lot of brands recommend just one a day. Kira, for example, recommends one a day in the UK and three a day elsewhere. They claim it has to do with UK law, but I think some UK brands do recommend three a day, so that explanation can't be true.
What brand are you taking? Very few UK brands actually state how much hyperforin is in them. It's a good sign that yours does - hyperforin is now thought to be the most important active ingredient of SJW.

Hi Dan,
thanks for your reply, I've started taking 3 a day now so fingers crossed. The brand is 'Natraherb' I've never heard of it before and I guess it was medium priced £2.99 for 30, just got it in my local chemist.
