Hi There...
It was such a relief to find this website!
After finally weaning off Celexa after taking them for 18 months (and having some horrible side effects), I am now taking two x 500mg of SJW (dried aerial parts) extract 6:1 83.3mg standardized to 0.3% Hypericin and am wondering if that is enough? The brand is Holista. I am totally confused...
I have only been taking them for a week (both at night) and don't feel any different yet... is this normal?

That's not even nearly enough, I'm afraid. The important figure is not the amount of raw herb that goes into each tablet (in this case 500 mg), but the amount of extract (83.3 mg) left after it has been processed. The most commonly recommended dose is 900 mg of SJW extract - you'd need to take 10 or 11 tablets a day to get this!
It is normal for SJW to take a while to start taking effect, but in your case it's almost certainly because you're not taking enough. I'd recommend you switch to a different brand which contains more extract in each tablet - the most common size is 300 mg, 3 times a day.

Do you have any suggestions regarding brand? I am in Canada...
