Topic Title: Kira vs. Perika
| | "Kira vs. Perika" , Sat 12 Apr 19:47
Has anybody had more success with Perika over Kira? I have tried both-- tried Kira for a long time, and I think I was still pretty depressed while taking it. I tried Perika also, but I always quit it because of side-effects (upset stomach), but I think it may have actually helped more than the Kira.
I am thinking of trying a very low dose of Perika-- perhaps splitting a pill in half to start. Does anybody know-- will this side effect problem eventually go away?-- will starting at lower doses help?
Also... I seem to not be able to concentrate while on Kira... Might that problem get better on the Perika?
I guess I just have to try it and see...
I was just hoping someone with some experience with this could offer some insight... I would feel less alone if I knew that someone else didn't have success with Kira but still found help with Perika.

Dear Hope,
Two points:
1) If you were using Kira brand SJW, it is quite possible that the dosage you were taking was inadequate. The dosage recommendation contained on UK packs of Kira (and some other countries) is considerably less than those suggested by most other leading SJW brands.
(Other posings in the 'Brands' section of this Message Board refer to this in more detail).
2) If you are suffering relatively minor stomach upset as a result of taking SJW it may help if you always take it with food - and don't take 2 or 3 tablets at the same time. I found that if I took SJW on an empty stomach without food it could make me feel queasy (a bit like eating a dodgy kebab!) You may find, as I did, that this 'side- effect' diminishes greatly after a few weeks.
Good luck,
Sheephead.
